Christian studied medicine at the University of Cologne in Germany and graduated with a MD in 1991. He continued his career in Norway, finally arriving at Ullevål University Hospital in Oslo where he soon became a chief ortopedic surgeon of the spine departement. The thesis: "Patients with chronic low back pain and degenerative disc; effects of surgery with disc prosthesis versus rehabilitation, predictors of treatment outcome and health economic considerations", made him the accreditation of PhD in 2013. His a active researcher, author and co-author of several peer-review articles in highly rated Journals, organizing several academic events and lecturing on a national and international arena.

Freyr Gauti Sigmundsson is the leading Spine Surgeon at the Spine Unit at The Department of Orthopedics, Örebro University Hospital. Freyr Gauti studied Medicine at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense and graduated in 2005. Freyr Gauti did his specialist training in orthopedics in Iceland and in Sweden.
